The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced and professional Class 1 HGV Drivers for general haulage work using curtain side trailers for a reputable company based in Scunthorpe. This role offers flexibility with both day and night runs available, making it ideal for drivers seeking consistent work with a reputable transport company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 vehicles for general haulage using curtain side trailers
- Carry out deliveries and collections across the UK
- Ensure goods are securely loaded and unloaded, with attention to load safety
- Complete all relevant paperwork and logbooks accurately
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DR, DD, or IN convictions)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience with curtain side trailers preferred
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A safety-first mindset and professional attitude
