We’re looking for a dynamic and dedicated Commissioning and Contracts Officer to join our Contract and Commissioning Team. This is a pivotal role in securing high-quality, value-for-money placements for children and young people in care.
What you’ll do:
• Source and procure placements that meet the needs of children and young people
• Negotiate placement costs and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate placement and financial records
• Build and sustain positive relationships with service providers
• Contribute to market intelligence and undertake quality assurance visits
We’re looking for someone with:
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with good numeracy
• Knowledge of the legislative, policy and financial context for children in care and care leavers
• Experience using social care systems (e.g. MOSAIC)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, collaborative and positive approach, with commitment to equality and diversity
