Employee Relations Partner
Location: Clitheroe (with travel to other Northern sites as required)
Reporting to: Head of Employee Relations
Are you passionate about employee relations and confident managing complex cases? Do you thrive on building strong relationships,
coaching managers, and helping to create a positive workplace culture? If so, this could be the role for you.
We’re looking for an Employee Relations (ER) Partner to join our ER team. This is a key role supporting employees and managers
across the business, helping us minimise risk, resolve issues fairly, and create a consistent, high-quality employee experience.
What you’ll be doing
* Provide clear, consistent advice to managers and employees on ER matters (grievances, disciplinaries, absence, performance).
* Manage complex ER cases end-to-end, including hearings, appeals and support with tribunal preparation.
* Coach and influence managers to improve confidence in handling ER issues, minimising risk to the business.
* Deliver mediation and conflict resolution to support a positive workplace culture.
* Maintain accurate ER case records in HR systems, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
* Support continuous improvement of ER policies, processes, and strategy.
What we’re looking for
* Strong knowledge of employment law, ACAS guidelines, and ER best practice.
* Proven experience managing complex ER cases in a unionised environment.
* Excellent coaching, influencing and interpersonal skills – with credibility at senior management level.
* Well-organised, pragmatic and able to prioritise under pressure.
* Broad HR background; CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
* Confident communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to analyse and explain complex information.
What you’ll bring
* A collaborative and approachable style, with the courage to challenge when needed.
* Drive and motivation to deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Curiosity to learn, improve and make a real impact on our people agenda.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping how we manage employee relations across the business, working
closely with managers and colleagues at all levels.
Interested? Apply now and be part of a team where your expertise and impact will really matter.
