Looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or youth work?

A forward-thinking secondary school in Telford is looking for a dedicated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This full-time, paid role is ideal for aspiring educators who want to develop their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, in subjects such as English, Maths, Science, and Humanities


  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for students who may require additional academic or emotional support


  • Helping students to stay engaged, build confidence, and reach their potential


  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour management


  • Encouraging a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture


    What We’re Looking For:
    • A graduate with a 2:1 or above (degrees in Psychology, Education, English, or related fields are particularly welcomed)


    • Someone who is patient, proactive, and motivated to help young people thrive


    • Previous experience working with young people—through mentoring, tutoring, coaching, or volunteering—is desirable


    • Available full-time from September 2025 to July 2026
