Are you a strong communicator that can lead a team to deliver an excellent patient-centred service? Do you have experience and/or knowledge of Pharmacy Homecare operations?
We are looking for a Homecare and Procurement Officer to join the Pharmacy department. This role is primarily focused on overseeing the day to day administrative and operational responsibilities of the Pharmacy Homecare Service, which support over 2,500 patients receiving medicines at home. You will coordinate with homecare providers, ensure accurate service records, support stock control, and manage billing processes to help maintain a smooth, cost-efficient, and patient-focused service.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and communications skills. While primarily the focus is on Homecare, the post holder will also provide support to the Pharmacy Procurement team. This will include liaising with suppliers, assisting with stock ordering, and ensuring compliance with contractual purchasing agreements.

• To provide a comprehensive and efficient daily homecare and procurement service to the trust developing and updating services, following all legal and departmental practices including Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs), MHRA Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Distributors, COSHH, Lifting and Handling Regulations and all Trust Policies and Procedures.
• To assist the Chief Technician and Pharmacy Business Manager with development of cost improvements to the department and trust.

Operational:
• Receive correspondence and queries for the Homecare team and prioritise for action and respond to those of a routine nature
Management:
• Provides day to day supervision and coordination of homecare staff.
Reporting:
• To produce performance data in graphical form, related to the Homecare team, as required for adherence to local and regional KPIs and to support future development of performance measures as required
Quality:
• To co-operate with staff in other disciplines to help ensure the safe, effective and economic use of drugs
