Job Title: HGV driver required - Class 1 /Category CE, but will consider Class 2 /category C licence holders; £41,204 per annum, 48 hours per week; 5 shifts per week, night shifts Sunday to Saturday 20.00 - 03.00

The Role

As a HGV driver, you will play a vital role in the distribution chain, delivering products to customers, wholesale buyers and depots across the UK. You will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and safe deliveries while representing the company in a professional and customer-focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate HGV vehicles in compliance with UK driving laws and tachograph regulations
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and reports any defects promptly
  • Follow health & safety, food hygiene and security procedures always
  • Use hand-held units or manual systems to record deliveries, returns and payments where applicable
  • Maintain a clean vehicle, both inside and out
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Load and unload products safely, including manual handling and use of handling equipment

Skills

  • Full UK driving licence - Category CE preferred, Category C considered
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Physically fit to undertake manual handling tasks
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work night shifts and weekends as required
  • New pass and Class 2 drivers welcome - full training and career development provided
