Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for the security, safety and welfare of occupiers, visitors and assets for one of our beautiful corporate destinations in the City of London, closest stations are Moorgate, Bank, Liverpool Street, St Pauls and Cannon Street, The Security Officer will protect these by maintaining a vigilant, pro-active security presence to minimise security risks to people and property. The Security Officer will need to be able to spend reasonable periods of the time during a 12-hour shift both on patrol and standing on post. This is an active and visible role requiring strong communication competence in addition to procedural knowledge and adherence. Customer, occupier & service provider interaction is significant and excellent relationship management skills are required. Key Responsibilities: Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service deliveryThe Security Officer will need to be able to spend reasonable periods of time during a 12-hour shift both on patrol and standing on postThey will be expected to cover the CCTV Controller for any absence.Ensure full understanding of the emergency proceduresEnsure a full understanding of the assignment instructionsEnsure their post is correctly manned at the specific times. This includes being on post at latest, the start time of your shiftEnsure SIA licence is always on your person and on displayReport any issues or incidents to the Controller, Duty Security Manager or Security Manager Respond to all incidents in line with policies and proceduresTo carry out the various site patrols as per the patrol scheduleTo carry out any additional patrols as instructed by managementReport any discrepancies/incidents whilst on patrol to the security control roomCarry out FOH duties and cover the FOH Officer for any absenceControl access and egress at Front of House or Back of HouseManage a polite and effective meet and greet service to all staff and visitors, whilst strictly observing access control proceduresEnsure those who should not be granted access to the building are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access or escorted from the buildingCarry out ID checks in line with instructions issuedProvide tenants and visitors to the building with helpful advice, guidance and information. And if not able to do so, direct to the correct personnel who can assistRespond as per the policies and procedures in all emergency incidents and evacuationsRespond to these in a calm and professional manner.
