Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join the production team on a part-time basis. The role involves using an overlocker sewing machine to stitch fabric skins onto foam, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate an overlocker sewing machine with precision and care.
Sew fabric skins onto foam to required specifications.
Maintain accuracy and consistency to ensure all products meet quality standards.
Follow work instructions and production schedules.
Inspect finished products for defects and carry out any necessary adjustments.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Report any machine issues or material defects to the supervisor.
Requirements
Previous experience using an overlocker machine (essential).
Experience sewing fabric skins onto foam or similar materials (preferred but not essential – training can be provided).
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
