Summary
To work with the Fire Safety Manager to ensure that the facilitation of fire safety training, both theoretical and practical for staff is in place across the organisation in line with the Trusts Fire Safety and Health and Safety Policies. The Auditing of Fire Risk Assessments on Wards & departments in line with HTM 05-01. To ensure that awareness of the strategy and provision for suitable and sufficient training of staff in evacuation procedures are in place for all patient, public and staff areas of the hospital sites. To support the Fire Safety Manager in ensuring that fire systems are safe, fire fighting equipment is well maintained and that fire doors and escape routes meet appropriate requirements. To support the Fire Safety Manager to ensure that adequate systems for fire risk assessment and structural risk assessment are in place to satisfy legislative requirements and Fire Authority guidance. To support the Fire Safety Manager in providing information to Capital Projects and Estates staff regarding the satisfactory completion of fire safety works against published fire risk assessments to satisfy legislative requirements.
