Summary

IT Assistant Location: Ammanford

We are seeking a proactive IT Assistant provide essential technical support across our organisation, helping to maintain our IT systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist with the day-to-day IT operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

What you’ll do:
  • Provide first-line support to staff for hardware, software, telecommunications and network issues.
  • Set up and configure computers, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Install and update software and security patches.
  • Ensure protection for the company systems in place including Firewalls, Cyber Security etc.
  • Maintain IT inventory and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist with user account setup and management (email, access rights, etc.).
  • Monitor system performance and report issues promptly.
  • Support the implementation of new IT systems and upgrades.
  • Maintain data backups and assist in disaster recovery procedures.
  • Work closely with the IT Manager and other team members on various projects.
  • Arrange external technical support where necessary
What We’re Looking For:
  • Good knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office, O365 Admin Centre, Microsoft Entra, SQL and basic networking.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and antivirus software is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • A current driving licence as you may be required to support branches onsite from time to time.

Hours of work: An average of 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm.
