Summary
This position is being advertised by Swift Temps Ltd acting as an employment agency.
Our well-established client based in Stoke on Trent are seeking 4 x experience FLT Counterbalance Drivers to work within their busy a Parcel Distribution Centre.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth running of the warehouse by carrying out parcel sorting duties alongside operating an FLT when required. This is a hands-on role that requires energy, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Duties include:
Sorting parcels and freight accurately for dispatch
Loading and unloading vehicles using Counterbalance
Scanning incoming/outgoing parcels and updating systems correctly
Ensuring all products are checked and meet customer requirements
Completing paperwork and dispatch notes accurately
Assisting with stock counts and general warehouse duties
Booking transport and supporting with packaging/packhouse where required
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Experience & Requirements:
Valid Counterbalance license
Previous parcel sorting or warehouse experience desirable
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
Good attention to detail and communication skills
Numerate, literate, and reliable
Working Hours & Pay
4 on / 4 off shift pattern across 7 days a week ( weekend availability subject to shift pattern is essential )
Hours of work: 4pm to 2am (10 hours per day )
Standard pay: £12.21 to £13.73 per hour ( working hours up to 10pm payable at £12.21 , hours from 10pm to 2am payable with a night shift allowance of £13.73ph)
Immediate starts available leading to a permanent contract after completing 12 full working weeks through Swift Temps Ltd
