This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

M Group Water are proud to be a key partner on the Caledonia Water Alliance and will successfully and safely work with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme. 
M Group Water  is currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract based in Glasgow.
You'll be responsible for administering the NEC form of contracts, raising early warning notices to the client and subcontractors. We'll need you to have a keen eye for detail identifying, notifying and pricing of compensation events.
You'll need to produce or support the production of CVRs and P&L reports along with managing subcontractors from tender inquiries to final accounts, review subcontract quotations and be involved in placing subcontract orders. 
You'll check time-sheets and staff allocations for different work packages, agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar level within with a civil engineering or utilities contractor would mean you could excel in this role!
What you’ll bring

- Are you familiar with assessing and paying subcontract applications, preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages?
- Are you a proactive mentor? As part of this role you'll be managing and mentoring of junior members of the commercial team, supporting their growth and knowledge. 
- Do you have working knowledge of the NEC3 suite of contract?
- Are you experienced using CEMAR?
- Have you gained experience in the Utilities/Rail/Highways sector?
- Do you have experience in dealing with high volume and low value work?
- Do you have experience working in an Alliance environment with multiple partners including the Client?
