Mobile Air Conditioning Service Engineer Covering Edinburgh, Midlothian & East Scotland (Central Belt)
£37,400 – £44,000 Basic Salary

CBW are looking for a qualified and experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join a mobile technical team in the East of Scotland. Working across a portfolio of commercial clients, you'll be the go-to expert for air conditioning and HVAC maintenance, installations, and reactive repairs.

- Mobile Role: Covering Edinburgh, Midlothian & Central Belt
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (41.25 hrs/week)
- On-Call/Callout: £150 per week, with overtime rates:
- Weekday evenings (from 5:30pm): x1.5
- Saturday AM: x1.5 | Saturday PM: x2
- Sundays: x2
- Company Van Provided (private use available at approx. £94/month for 1000 miles)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide planned and reactive maintenance, installation, and fault-finding on AC and HVAC systems.
- Deliver works within agreed SLAs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct minor electrical fault diagnostics.
- Participate in a 1-in-X callout rota, with a minimum 4 hours' paid for first call.
- Complete installations and small works on air conditioning systems.
- Monitor contractors on-site, issue permits, and ensure safety standards are upheld.
- Represent the company professionally, maintaining high standards in both technical delivery and customer service.
Qualifications
Qualifications (must have one of the following):
- City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (F-Gas Cat 1) or CITB J11 Equivalent
Plus one of the below: - NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration & AC Systems
- NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating & Ventilation
- NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating & Ventilation Service & Maintenance
Additional Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- IPAF / PASMA (preferred)
- Electrical qualifications (preferred)
- Experience in reactive and planned AC/HVAC maintenance across commercial environments
- Working knowledge of H&S procedures, risk assessments & method statements
