BAM Ritchies (part of BAM Nuttall / Royal BAM Group) are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our award-winning ground engineering team as a Materials Testing Technician Apprentice.

What you’ll be doing:

Sampling and testing construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) in the lab and on site

Recording results, reporting to site teams, ensuring compliance with standards

Learning how to use testing equipment, carry out risk assessments and maintain detailed records

Working full-time on the HS2 high-speed rail project while completing a Level 3 Materials Testing Technician apprenticeship over 21 months (6hrs/week off-the-job training with Tiro)

What we’re offering:

£20,000 salary (rising to NLW at 21+ after 12 months)

22 days holiday + bank holidays + wellbeing/volunteering days

Permanent job opportunity on completion (~£25,000) and progression potential

40hr week (Mon–Fri 7:30–17:30) + paid weekend overtime

Training from BAM experts and a Tiro tutor

Must be 18+, have right to work in the UK, lived in UK min 3 years and hold a full UK driving licence + own car
