Summary

Could you bring your retail and management skills to our Charity Shop? We are looking to recruit a job share Charity Shop Manager to support sales, with specific responsibilities to ensure the shop: is compliant in all aspects of Health & Safety and regulation, ensuring it is a safe and professional place to work for staff and volunteers; maximises its potential for profit through continuous improvement and innovative processes; whilst upholding the principles and ethos of the Samaritans.

Essential skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, developing strong working relationships quickly;
Sound working knowledge and strong track record of managing H & S, ensuring compliance in a retail environment;
Ability to work on own initiative to exploit opportunities to maximise profit, and to deliver at pace;
Experience of recruitment and management of a wide range of people;
Strong I.T. skills in the MS Office suite, and ability to learn bespoke H & S.

Desirable skills:
Customer Service qualifications and/or strong customer service working experience;
Working knowledge of all aspects of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

We are recruiting for a person to compliment the existing retail shop manager, with a guaranteed 16 hours per week. These will be over at least two days in our shop at Kirkby in Ashfield, with the potential for additional hours once trained. Full training will be given on the job, in person and through online training packages.
