Our Client is seeking an experienced Head of Reporting/Senior Finance Manager to lead the financial setup and reporting function for a newly created subsidiary and bank. This is a high-profile role that will involve designing and embedding reporting structures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering clear financial insights to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the financial setup of a new subsidiary and banking entity.
Design and implement financial reporting structures and processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, FReM) and external reporting requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues including senior managers, tax specialists, and external auditors.
Provide leadership and establish a robust financial reporting function.
Draft technical papers and briefings for senior stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
Strong technical accountancy knowledge, including IFRS.
Significant experience of year-end accounts closure and group accounting.
Knowledge of government accounting (resource accounting and budgeting).
Experience in the public sector or housing/property sector.
Understanding of tax compliance (VAT, Corporation Tax).
Proven leadership in managing a financial reporting team within a large/complex organisation.
Advanced Excel and analytical skills with the ability to interrogate large datasets.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information simply and clearly.
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders.
