Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Can you make a difference to the future lives of South Ayrshire's young children with severe language disorder? Language Provision offers outreach support to children in their mainstream setting from pre-school to Primary 2.

We seek to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in teaching within Early Years; Primary or Additional Support for Learning. We are looking for someone who can work collegiately to support families and education staff, as well as deliver learning and teaching to ensure that pupils across South Ayrshire achieve their full potential. You must be a passionate and committed teacher who will inspire the learning of our children. Ideally, you will hold a Post Graduate qualification in Inclusive Practice, or similar, or will be willing to undertake Masters level study. The successful applicant will work across the authority, travelling as required to support children within their relevant setting, as well as leading learning within the Language Provision base.

REQUIREMENTS

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
