We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Auditor to join our team and support the Group Finance Director and wider team.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Internal Auditor to provide independent assurance that our organisation’s risk management, governance, and internal control processes are operating effectively. This role involves conducting the full audit cycle, including risk assessment, control evaluation, and compliance review across multiple UK sites.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and self-driven professional with strong analytical skills and sound judgement.
Confident working independently across multiple sites while building effective stakeholder relationships. Skilled in internal audit, risk management, or compliance within complex organisations is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute audits across the Group, ensuring operational effectiveness, financial reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage annual audit plans and scopes.
• Analyse financial and operational data, documentation, and systems to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Provide independent advice to support legal compliance and strategic goal achievement.
• Investigate potential fraud, financial irregularities, and whistleblowing allegations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and the audit committee.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Qualified accountant (e.g. CIA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong skills in financial accounting and knowledge of reporting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proven ability to influence and engage with senior management.
• Strategic thinker with a broad understanding of audit techniques.
• High integrity, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently.
