Summary

Recreation Assistants
Starting salary: £23,658 – £25,470 per annum
Apprentice rate: £12.21 per hour Casual rate: £12.26 per hour
All roles work on a shift rota including weekends and bank holidays

1 Permanent Full Time Contract - Based at Alive Oasis, Hunstanton
1 Permanent Full Time Contract – Based at Alive Downham, Downham Market
1 Apprentice Full Time 2 Year Contract- Based at Alive Downham, Downham Market
Casual contracts - Based at Alive St James, Kings Lynn, and the above two Centres.

We need you to play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for our customers. Your main duties will include lifeguarding, supporting day-to-day operations in all areas of the business, assisting at reception, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring every visitor has a great experience. For permanent and apprentice roles, you will also deliver swimming lessons to all ages and abilities – from beginners to advanced swimmers. Full training will be provided for this.

Ideally, you will already hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Swimming Teacher Qualification or be willing to gain them. You will need to pass a swim test before interview. Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach are essential to deliver excellent customer service.

As an apprentice, if you are interested in the sport and fitness industry and are keen to develop your career within leisure, our apprenticeship also give you practical experience in our Centre with the level 2 Leisure Team Member qualification.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure, through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
