Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused General Catering Assistant to join our team in Wrexham, United Kingdom. As a vital member of our catering staff, you will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for various events and daily operations
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment, adhering to food safety standards
  • Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs and enquiries
  • Operate catering equipment, including coffee machines and food warmers
  • Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks
  • Restock and organise supplies in the catering area
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge


Qualifications

  • Proven customer service experience in a food service or hospitality setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory
  • Barista experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Food handling certificate or willingness to obtain one
