The Role

Do you have experience supporting people with mental health needs or learning disabilities? Are you ready for a senior role where you can make a real difference within a brand-new service?

We are launching Inspiring Minds East, a new Supported Living Rehabilitation Service in Burnley, and are looking for two Senior Recovery Workers one full-time (35 hrs per week) and one part-time (28hrs per week) to join our team.

You will support adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and individuals on the autistic spectrum. Your role will involve delivering recovery-focused interventions that promote wellbeing, independence and social inclusion. You will also take on senior responsibilities to help the service run smoothly and assist with its development.

Shifts are on a rota basis: 8am–3pm, 3pm–10pm, with occasional sleep-in shifts 10pm–8am (paid at an additional rate).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support residents to achieve recovery, wellbeing and social inclusion goals.
• Use recovery-focused tools to assess, plan and review progress.
• Work with service users to meet needs identified in action plans.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues and volunteers.
• Contribute to service delivery and continuous improvement.

The Person

• The successful candidate will have a Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this.
• Previous experience of working within a mental health setting and having the knowledge of understanding and working with people with a variety of complex needs is essential for this role. Experience of managing/leading others would be an advantage.
• Experience of working with people with mental health conditions, Learning disabilities and individuals on the autism spectrum disorder in a recovery focussed way.
• Experience of a being responsible for other team members e.g. Senior roles.
• Experience of liaising regularly with other professionals / partner organisations.
