Summary

Job Title:  Attendance and Family Support Officer
Actual Annual Salary:  £26,965 - £29,821 based on hours and weeks worked. 
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £35,852 - £39,649 (CLF Grade E) based on full time hours, all year round. 
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only plus Inset Days
Provisional Start date:  As soon as possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Attendance and Family Support Officer to join the team at Begbrook Primary Academy. We are seeking someone with a deep understanding of the barriers to attendance, who will build strong relationships with students and their families and is able to advocate on their behalf where needed, to ensure students receive the suitable education to which they are entitled. The attached person specification and job description outline the duties and responsibilities.
About you:
You will have:
An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures and the importance of safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
A professional qualification in working with young people or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Full, clean driving licence with willingness to obtain business insurance or ability to travel to other sites or for home visits
Proven experience working with young people and their families in education or a related area such as youth, community or health and social work
Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with parents and pupils.
