A Vacancy at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
An ongoing transformation programme in Essex has opened up a number of exciting opportunities for psychological services professionals who have an interest in the treatment and management of Complex Trauma that might meet criteria for Personality Disorder. The integrated care pathway supports the aspirations identified in the NHS Long Term Plan and Community Mental Health Framework.
These opportunities challenged traditional models of mental health provision to prevent escalation of mental health crises and develop true community-based, integrated and systemic services.
There is significant demand for Personality Disorder Awareness Training, and broader training in the field across EPUT and partner organisations. With the demand ever growing and the anticipated higher frequency/increased variety of training in 2025, we are seeking a dedicated training coordinator and facilitator, with lived/living experience of Personality Disorder/Complex Emotional Needs, to join the Service User Network team. As an integral and highly valued member of the Service User Network multi-disciplinary team, an Expert by Experience Training Facilitator and Coordinator will provide support to the Personality Disorders and Complex Needs (PD&CN) multi-disciplinary team and wider PsychologicalServices in the production, coordination and delivery of bespoke Training.
Please note that lived/living experience of having Complex Trauma that might meet criteria for Personality Disorder is an essential criteria for the post.
The key responsibilities of the success candidate will be to:
· Use their lived/living experience of Personality Disorder, and through collaboration with teams, to inform the identification of training needs, and development of training packages that align with these needs.
· Assist the coordination of training delivery, and the volunteer training facilitators with lived/living experience, in partnership with the Specialist Personality Disorder and Complex Needs Team.
· Deliver Knowledge and Understanding Framework (KUF) Training as an Expert by Experience, and bespoke Training, including but not limited to Personality Disorder Awareness training.
· Develop and implement a communications plan to support the advertisement of training opportunities and increase attendance. Respond in ways which are sensitive to both service users’ and trainees’ needs, thus promoting training environments that are empathic and containing.
· Develop an online platform for professionals to access to enhance their knowledge and resources.
Valuing you. Recognising your dedication. At EPUT, we look after you.
• Receive supervision and support to help you fulfil your potential.
• Join an inclusive EPUT community and connect with others through engagement events and equality or champion networks.
• If you need help, we provide mental health and wellbeing services, occupational health advice and counselling.
• We run recognition awards to recognise staff's hard work and dedication.
Benefits
• 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 10 years’ service.
• Excellent pension of up to14.5% of your pensionable pay.
• Staff discounts include Blue Light Card, NHS discount offers, and staff benefits.
• £8K relocation package if you move to Essex to join us
• Season ticket loans are interest-free to cover the cost of travelling to and from work via tram, rail, or bus.
Work that wraps around your needs
• Flexible working: available from day one for most roles.
• Job share: Applications for job shares are welcomed.
