Summary

This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.

BACKGROUND TO THE POST

WCG delivers provision for Adults which are either funded or full cost recovery. These courses equip learners with professional qualifications or allow learners to undertake recreational courses. This post supports the campus Head of Schools to coordinate all elements of these courses, from student recruitment through to student completion. The post will report to the Campus Principal at Royal Leamington Spa.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate Adult and FCR courses at Royal Leamington Spa
• Support the Head of School in the planning and producing proposed course and staff timetables
• Support the Head of School with moderation visits from external partners and awarding bodies
• Liaise with marketing on promotional materials and content etc., ensuring information is updated and new courses included
• Lead on and initiate start of year arrangements for courses including:
 Assembling course documentation, including Course Handbooks each academic year
 Organising enrolment and student induction for students
• Liaise with teaching staff and administrators to ensure completion of administration tasks
• Allocate work to administrators, where appropriate
• Work with staff to ensure students are registered with appropriate awarding body and that he/she has the appropriate information at the end of the course to send to the awarding bodies
• Maintain all course related management files, such as at risk registers, student progress tracking
• To monitor retention and achievement of students and meet with the HoS on a regular basis to highlight students “at risk” and feedback on issues on retention, and achievement
• Liaise with all subject lecturers and ensure all relevant records are kept and in particular updating of student tracking
• Management of all relevant paperwork and maintenance/archiving of tracking records to College standards, e.g. keep accurate records of student assessments
• Check data from MIS, liaising with staff to ensure accuracy and keep MIS informed of changes
• Take part in Open events and the interviewing and organising IAG and skill tests for prospective students
• Supervise students when required
• Manage the admissions process in terms of application to enrolment and monitor applications
• Liaise with Finance with regard to course fees and enrolment

Essential Attainments

✓GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or Level 2 equivalent qualification.
✓A professional, academic or vocational qualification at Level 3
✓Working knowledge of information technology such as e-mail, the internet and other software applications
✓Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
✓Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
