Job Summary
To provide a monitoring and control service using state of the art vehicle tracking systems, communication systems and computer based control systems, within the standards laid down in the Code of Practice and Operational Procedural Manual.
To monitor vehicle tracking devices, CCTV cameras and alarms;
To keep and maintain suitable and sufficient records of all incidents;
To maintain the security of the Alarm Receiving Centre Control Equipment at all times;
To operate and monitor the control room systems;
To take calls and inform/act accordingly;
To notify the police and other authorised persons/organisations of incidents;
To maintain and store correctly records, relevant to the execution of the system;
To log and report faults and incidents;
To monitor access control and validation, intercom systems into the building;
Ensure professional quality of service delivery and compliance with legislative requirements;
Answer service calls from customers and contractors etc.;
Check and respond to emails;
Acknowledge any alarms received and take appropriate action;
REQUIRED Qualifications and Skills
SIA Security Licence (Mandatory).
Flexible and adaptable to work shift patterns.
Excellent verbal and written English.
Excellent telephone skills.
IT and Computer Literate.
Able to interact with customers.
Willing to undertake a rotating shift pattern.
Good customer service and control room experience is desirable.
Please Note that Operators may be required to undergo an additional police vetting procedure or other approved security clearance before commencing duties as a SOC Operator.
Operators may be required to attend court and give evidence on the basis of their duties as an SOC operator.
