Summary
Our public sector client based in Abbey Wood, Bristol. is looking for a Health and Safety Administrator to support their H&S Department and Executive Team. This is anticipated to be a 9-month assignment with a possibility of extension. This is a full-time role, 37.00 hours per week, working hours will be Monday to Thursday 8 hours a day and then 5 hours on a Friday. This role will be paying £14.19 p/hr.
Ultimately you will be responsible for assisting with the administration, support and facilitation of Health and Safety practices across the site, working with contractors and staff. Excellent communication and IT Skills (particularly skills in Excel) are essential, and experience in Health and Safety practices is desirable.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage group inbox, triaging and flagging to the relevant team member. Responding to general queries.
- Managing shared diaries to ensure no double bookings and managing cancellations and rescheduling
- Obtaining all visitor information to resend through to the main gate, and escorting visitors if required
- Keep a record of ongoing issues, to track and flag issues where necessary
- Answering requests and supplying Health and Safety information.
- Delivering New Joiner Briefs
- Maintaining the electronic multi-user, diary. Liaising with Departments and immediate Team to book briefings and team meetings, ensuring no double bookings. Managing cancellations and rescheduling. Ensuring cover for appointments in senior staff's absence
- Maintenance of Health and Safety Library
- Arrange fire evacuations, safety maintainers, booking in and updating the internal diary and database
- The Main Focal Point for Accident Reporting, ensuring forms are completed and investigating unreported incidents
- SharePoint Team Site Administration, ensuring all information is current, clear and concise.
Skills required
- Highly organised, and well-motivated
- Able to prioritise workload and adapt to changeable deadlines
- Good communications in both written and verbal form
- Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders
- Have the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of MS applications
This role will require a clear DBS to be in place, and three years referencing.
