Summary
Connect Appointments are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join our Fife-based engineering client.
Within this role you will be travelling across the country to carry out engineering work on a number of distilleries - 80% of this work is located within Fife, with the other 20% further a field.
What's on offer:
- Full-time permanent position
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
- Overtime and weekend work available during shutdown periods
- £17 to £19 per hour DOE
Working as a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring production lines are running to their full potential, as well as:
- General mechanical engineering
- Pump/mixer overhauls
- Installation of new equipment
- Lifting and rigging
- Handrail and walkway inspections
- Handrail and walkway repairs
- Industrial door inspection and repairs
- Installation projects
To be successful in this role you will ideally be a time served Mechanical Engineer, with previous industrial experience. Combined with the following skills and traits:
- Able to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Be able to understand diagrams and drawings
- Be able to work on your own and as part of a team
- Be focused and driven; able to prioritise your workload
