Summary

This is a rare chance for a driven, experienced General Manager to be front and centre in one of London’s most iconic pubs, working for a forward-thinking family brewer and pub operator that lives its values every day.

The pub draws an incredible mix of customers: tourists seeking a quintessential British pub experience, theatre-goers and shoppers taking a break, busy office workers unwinding after hours, and private groups celebrating in style. When London is buzzing with big events, The Nags Head is at the very heart of the action.

The venue trades over two busy floors and boasts an enviable outside drinking area that makes the most of the Covent Garden atmosphere. There are also exciting plans to convert one of the upper floors into boutique-style rooms, following the success of similar developments at The King’s Arms and The Spice of Life.

As the company’s highest sales-taking and most profitable site, The Nags Head has delivered consistently exceptional results for years. But this is far from a “maintenance” role — there’s significant untapped potential, especially in developing and expanding the food offer.

The ideal General Manager candidate must have experience of running a site with high-volume food from a branded menu. London experience is preferable, however previous experience working within a high-volume tourist market is also advantageous.

Owing to the unique nature of this business we are looking for a high performing manager who will operate a business that delivers our key KPI’s

  • A full management team with an ongoing succession plan in place

  • Flawless standards FOH and BOH with complete adherence to company policies.
  • Understanding the guests needs and responding to market demand
  • Flawless execution of the offer
  • Creation of sales driving activity on a regular basis
