About the Role
Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a highly regarded secondary school in Nottingham (NG9). This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work closely with students aged 11-16, providing tailored support to learners with special educational needs (SEN). You'll play a key role in helping students build confidence, stay focused and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
- Assist students in staying engaged and confident in the classroom
- Promote positive behaviour and support students' emotional wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to implement personalised support strategies
- Contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting young people with SEN, either in schools or similar settings
- Demonstrates a calm, flexible and empathetic approach to behaviour management and learning support
- Possesses excellent communication skills, building strong relationships with students and staff
- Has a genuine passion for helping young people succeed
