Are you a patient, positive and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a friendly Birmingham primary school?
We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Small Heath area, seeking a confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from September. This role involves a mix of 1:1 and small group support. You'll be working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language delay, and social communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored SEN support on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Supporting classroom routines and helping children engage in learning
- Working collaboratively with staff to deliver effective interventions
- Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Helping monitor progress and adapting support to meet individual needs
You Will Need:
- Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a primary setting
- A calm, consistent and encouraging approach
- Good understanding of early learning or KS1 development
- Team player with clear communication and strong initiative
