Summary
Vehicle Technician – York
Salary: £33,000 – £49,000 (depending on experience and qualifications, includes uncapped bonuses)
Hours: 40 hours per week
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join a prestigious dealership in York. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading brand in a modern workshop environment, with excellent training and career development prospects.
Key Responsibilities
Complete work orders, detailing repairs, parts required, and labour.
Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using measuring devices and report findings to the Workshop Controller.
Interpret and apply technical data and manufacturer instructions.
Carry out routine servicing, vehicle health checks, and technical repair work.
Remove and install vehicle components in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Prepare new and Approved Used vehicles for delivery.
Record all hours worked, parts used, and ensure job cards are updated accurately.
Report additional faults and keep the Service Manager/Workshop Controller informed.
Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and cleanliness.
Ensure the workshop is clean, safe, and well-organised.
