Summary
The first is Secretary to the Leader of the Council. We need someone who is capable of providing first class support to our busy Leader dealing with ministers, politicians, local businesses and other key stakeholders. You will need to be extremely well organised and experienced in a PA or secretarial role.
The second is Caseworker to the Leader. You will provide direct support to the Leader proactively working with Senior Officers, and other key stakeholders to resolve casework matters.
Both roles require someone who understands the importance of timely and proactive support in a political environment and will be used to dealing with highly sensitive and confidential matters and casework, has an excellent standard of written English and be confident at corresponding at all levels. You will be proficient in the use of all main applications.
The third role is a Strategy and Policy Officer. You will have excellent research and analytical skills and will be able to produce high quality briefing and reports for the Leader and other Cabinet Members. You too will be proficient in all main applications and will be capable of using AI and research tools to prepare reports. you will need to be well organised as you will need to support the Leader and Cabinet members in fulfilling their many and varied roles.
