Summary
About the role:
A fast-paced role, playing an important part of the Front Door team for Powys Children’s Services; using advanced social work knowledge and skills, along with leadership skills, to help ensure children are accessing the right support at the right time. The PSW helps lead the Front Door service to achieve timely, and quality decisions.
About you:
• Significant proven post qualifying experience including in-depth experience in the field of child and family social work, including Front Door/ MASH work.
• Experience of coaching/mentoring including practice teaching
• Experience of Multi Agency work at a senior level
• Knowledge of current legislation, national guidance and best practice.
• Commitment to the achievement of the highest possible standards of
professional practice by all team members through co-working,
coaching/mentoring and the provision of advice, guidance and assistance.
What you will do:
• Equip the team to work at pace to swiftly conclude the Front Door element of work on referrals to Children’s Services
• Prioritise the many competing demands on the team
• Chair multi-agency meetings
• Make effective decisions
• Ensuring assessments are proportionate to need
• Quality assure the work of the team and provide support to continually improve practice.
This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
