Do you have a Catering Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent as this is essential for this post.

In this catering post, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and its surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of food service.

Supervising staff working in the kitchen.

You must be aware of HACCP Procedures and ensure all Paperwork is completed and submitted according.

Understanding dietary and nutritional needs.

Duties may also include transporting and serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, its surround.

We have a permanent vacancy to join our team within schools at:

Cairneyhill Primary School, Cairneyhill, near Dunfermline - Working 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:00am to 2:00pm on a 38-week term-time only basis.
You will earn a competitive salary of £25,885.80 to £28,175.91pro-rata and annualised payments with access to a range of benefits, including:

£13.79 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
Pay is annualised for Term Time contracts (equal instalments every 4 week pay period)

Training on In House systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.

The Person

Catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent is essential for this post.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

Provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.

You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
