Additional information: A Driving Licence is required for this role
The role:
We are looking for an Environmental Health Officer or suitably qualified Health and Safety Officer with experience of inspecting and registering tattooist and body piercing premises or individuals.
Key responsibilities:
Health and safety inspections
Accident investigations
Dealing with health and safety complaints and service requests
Inspecting and registering tattooist and body piercing premises/individuals
What the client is looking for:
Degree level recognised Environmental Health/Scientific/Trading Standards or equivalent qualification
Evidence of relevant professional competence
Previous experience of inspecting and registering tattooist and body piercing premises or individuals
Local authority experience
Up to date working knowledge of legislation and Codes of Practice
Good communication skills
Able to plan, organise and prioritise individual work, tasks and projects
Effective in problem analysis and practical decision making
Commitment to providing good customer service
Willingness and ability to attend meetings, undertake visits and inspections and provide cover outside normal office hours
