Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Room Leader to join our client’s nursery team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) who thrives on responsibility, enjoys leading others, and is committed to helping children flourish in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
As a Room Leader, you’ll play a key role in supporting both children and colleagues — creating inspiring learning opportunities, ensuring the highest standards of care, and guiding your team to deliver excellent practice every day.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 in Early Years Education (or equivalent qualification).
- Previous experience in a nursery, early years, or childcare setting (leadership experience desirable).
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to complete training).
- Confident, proactive, and team-oriented approach.
What’s On Offer
- Competitive salary – up to £28,000 (depending on experience).
- Discounted childcare for your family.
- Wellbeing support programme to promote a healthy work-life balance.
- Ongoing training and development to support career progression.
- Access to a staff benefits portal with a range of discounts and perks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire your room team to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate creative, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
- Support, mentor, and guide practitioners to ensure best practice.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, supporting their individual learning journeys.
- Work closely with parents and carers to share updates on children’s development.
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are always followed.
