Summary
ELFT has transformed its community and Adult Mental Health Services to provide increased opportunities for early assessment and interventions for people who typically present within primary care. We are developing a whole system response to mental and emotional distress; breaking down the traditional barriers between primary and secondary care. The post holder will work into the Isle of Dogs Neighborhood Mental Health team and Primary Care Network
The post-holder will take responsibility for an area of Neighborhood services and Primary Care Networks for the provision of a high-quality service for people with mental health difficulties. The role will involve working closely with existing services as well as developing links with other relevant community services.The post holder will carry a caseload, and provide structured guidance, supervision and advice to wider neighborhood team including other mental health staff, GP’s, and voluntary sector staff in relation to their working practice with this patient group. They will promote awareness and best practice concerning adults with mild to moderate mental health difficulties as well as patients with severe mental illness, actively supporting positive attitudes and a consistent approach towards assessment and treatment of this patient group.
