Summary
The selection process will include: Systems objective structured clinical exam will take place the week commencing 02 September 25, successful candidates will then be invited to interview the week commencing 08 September 25. Who can apply for the Advanced Practitioner - Urgent & Emergency Care? The role is open to Paramedics and Nurses with HCPC or NMC Registration who are able to meet the requirements of the job description and person specification. Please note that this post is not suitable for NQP Paramedics or a New qualified nurse. Candidates should also have DipHE/FDg in nursing or paramedic sciences or an equivalent healthcare qualification. What will the application process involve? All candidates will be required to complete an application available on the NHS jobs website. Each application will be reviewed and those shortlisted will be invited to an assessment day. The assessments will be split into two elements: 1. Systems - objective structured clinical exam 2. Interview How will the role operate? The role will provide enhanced clinical decision making to support pathways of care to patients through telephone consultation and face to face assessment. The telephone consultation element will be undertaken within the Trusts clinical hub sites. Successful applicants will receive appropriate training in telephone triage. The face-to-face element will involve practitioners working in a solo capacity responding in a car, with the ability to undertake telephone consultation remotely before attendance. Please note that practitioners will not be required to attend emergencies driving under blue light conditions.
