Summary

The Role
You will provide whole‑of‑market mortgage and protection advice to new and existing clients, delivering outstanding customer outcomes from first contact through to completion and beyond. You will work with a steady flow of qualified leads, ensuring every recommendation is suitable, affordable, and compliant with current regulation.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed fact‑finds, assess affordability, and provide compliant mortgage and protection recommendations, documenting clear rationale and suitability throughout.
* Manage the full advice journey from KYC and DIP through to application, offer, and completion, maintaining accurate records and audit trails.
* Advise across residential, buy‑to‑let, remortgage, and product transfers.
* Must have experience helping clients with remortgaging debt.
* Maintain up‑to‑date regulatory knowledge, following our T&C scheme, CPD requirements, and internal policies to meet and exceed Consumer Duty standards.
* Build strong client, introducer, and lender relationships, proactively managing pipelines to achieve service levels and KPIs.
* Work closely with our admin and processing teams to ensure a smooth client experience.

About You
* CeMAP (or equivalent) is essential.
* Minimum 18 months experience advising on mortgages in a UK regulated environment, with a deep understanding of affordability, criteria, and lender policy.
* Proven experience helping clients with remortgaging debt.
* Excellent communication and rapport‑building skills, with a genuine commitment to fair value and positive client outcomes under Consumer Duty.
* Strong attention to detail, robust file quality, and confidence working within an FCA T&C framework including observation, file checks, and CPD.
* Proactive, and comfortable managing pipelines and meeting realistic targets.
* Right to work in the UK is required. You must be able to pass credit and DBS checks and meet SMCR fit‑and‑proper standards.

Location & Working Pattern
Full‑time, office‑based role at our Manchester office.

Compliance
You will follow FCA requirements and internal compliance policies, covering KYC/AML, data protection, vulnerable customer handling, and Consumer Duty. You will participate in our supervised induction (if not already CAS), ongoing file checks, observations, and structured CPD.
