Summary

The Role

We’re recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with the Voice team here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Digital Infrastructure and Security Operations (DISO) Team.

The Technology Services team within Justice Digital is responsible for all infrastructure, end user computing, onsite support and delivery of technology projects. It has responsibility for 95,000 devices and infrastructure across 900+ sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help to design, build and run user-centric, data driven modern Voice & Video platforms that enable the Ministry of Justice to deliver services across the UK. 
• Act as the technical Voice Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing advice, knowledge sharing, and technical assistance to other sections of the MOJ's digital estates and participate in 3rd line support. 
• Using scripting or tools to automate current manual processes minimising human effort. 
• Work with end-users on the setup and configuration of auto-attendants, call centre scripts, and call handling routines.

o Define, design and build highly scalable/reliable cloud-based video infrastructure and CDN delivery services - including various configurations, routing policies/tools, and services to load-balance video traffic based on QoS/QoE data.
o Work with end-users on the testing and monitoring of MoJ voice endpoints.

• Troubleshoot telephony related problem areas and issues as needed, to resolve operational issues and restore/optimize services.
• Support initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
• Communicate with end users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates.
• Present recommendations for resolving ticket requests and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of the process, policies and risk controls.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues.
