Summary
• Use of Wheel Separator.
• Use of Guillotine
• Use of Vehicle Depollution Machine
• Completion of mandatory paperwork as required.
• Perform Cleaning Tasks as required.
• Working in a tidy manner.
• Keeping all main thoroughfares debris free.
• Removal of Required Parts as directed.
• Retrieving/ Releasing of vehicles which have been impounded with an appreciation of security protocols (keeping gates locked and ensuring buildings adequately secured).
Skills Required:
Skills required
• Forklift Licence a Distinct Advantage.
• Prior Mechanical Knowledge a Distinct Advantage.
• Physical strength and stamina – able to lift and move heavy metal and machinery
• Health and safety awareness – understands and follows safety rules in a hazardous environment
• Basic mechanical knowledge – able to handle tools and machinery used for cutting, sorting, or processing scrap
• Teamwork – works well with others in a busy, outdoor environment
• Attention to detail – sort materials properly and checks for hazards
• Forklift or machinery operation – helpful if trained to use forklifts, cranes, or loaders
• Basic metal knowledge – able to identify different types of metals (e.g. copper, steel, aluminium)
• Communication skills – can follow instructions and speak clearly with team members and drivers
• Time management – gets tasks done on time without constant supervision. Crucial that potential candidate can work on own initiative.
• Problem-solving – handles unexpected issues like blocked access, equipment faults, or weather delays
• Working Days: Monday to Friday Inclusive with available overtime as directed.
