JobIntroduction
Electrician Wanted!Join our Sodexo team as aMultiskilled Technician (Electrical Bias), covering Scotland’s Central Belt with occasional trips to beautiful Islay. You’ll handle everything from plannedand reactive maintenance to installations,testing, and fault finding — all while keeping safety and quality top of mind.Work closely with our M&E team to hit key targets and keep things running smoothly, and be ready to jump in for emergency call-outs as part of the rota. KeyResponsibilities:
- Carry out a variety of electrical maintenance tasksincluding PPMs, emergency lighting checks, RCD and microwave testing, and first-line response to work orders.
- Handle minor installations and repairs, such as lighting, sockets, switches, and plant equipment.
- Support beyond the toolbox— pitch in with basic plumbing, unblocking drains, and odd jobs like installing shelves or notice boards.
- Join the on-call rota (1 week in 4)for out-of-hours support when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully qualified 18th Edition Electricianwith time-served experience
- Strong knowledge ofelectrical installations in commercial buildingsand building services
- Proven experience inPPM and reactive maintenance tasks
- Confident withbasic IT skills, including MS Office and handheld devices (PDAs)
- Physically capableof working at height and in confined spaces
- Solid understanding ofhealth & safety practicesand proper tool handling
- Full, clean UK driving licencerequired
