A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


We are looking for a self-motivated, hardworking individual with a passion for research to join our dynamic team.

The role will be based within the Division of Experimental Medicine and Immunotherapeutics (EMIT), Department of Medicine, based on Level 6, Addenbrooke’s Centre for Clinical Investigation.

You will be responsible for the provision of high quality, patient focused NIHS Portfolio Clinical research studies, investigating respiratory and cardiovascular studies.

You will need to able to work independently and as part of a team, have good communication skills to provide specialist advice and support to and liaising with other staff members and organisation.

Informal visits to the unit are welcomed.

To predominantly help to recruit and deliver to NIHR respiratory studies.

To undertake the day-to-day responsibility for identifying eligible clinical research participants.

To run projects and undertake research assessments.

To provide information and support to patients/participants, undertake study recruitment and consent, co-ordination of study treatment/ interventions, asses, develop and implement specialist nursing care and data collection according to study protocols in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice, EU Clinical Trials legislation and the NHS research governance framework

To participate in patient and public involvement and engagement activities, as required, and be responsible for providing specialist advice and support to, and liaising with other staff members and organisations.
