Summary
Job Duties:
• Oversee daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient running
• Coordinate preparation of food and drinks
• Manage staffing by assessing needs, creating rotas, ensuring adequate coverage, and leading recruitment when required
• Train, motivate, and support staff to maintain high performance and deliver excellent customer service.
• Conduct staff assessments, identify training needs, and promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and maintain high standards in food quality, presentation, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the café, kitchen, and takeaway areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
• Manage stock by ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory to reduce waste and control costs
• Set financial targets, oversee cash handling, assist with financial reporting, and monitor overall performance to stay within budget.
• Decide on the menu, including seasonal specials and updates to food and drink offerings.
• Plan and streamline food preparation and service during busy periods
•Monitor and improve performance of delivery staff and overall delivery procedures.

QUALIFICATION: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or above
SKILLS:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with team members and customers.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities to manage daily operations and multitask in a fast-paced café environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by the café’s needs.
• Ability to adapt to changes in customer preferences, food trends, and industry developments.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and guide a diverse team.
• Commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.
EXPERIENCE:
Prospective employee should have at least one-year practical experience in the relevant field.
