We are looking for a Technical Services Team Leader to join ISS and help drive our mission to become the world’s greatest service organisation.

This is a non-working supervisory role, perfect for an experienced engineer ready to step into management.

You will have a technical qualification, strong leadership abilities, and excellent client management skills.

Job Description

In this role, you will supervise and lead the Operations & Maintenance Team, setting the overall direction, coordinating activities, and evaluating site maintenance performance.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, planning and directing work, appraising performance, and resolving complaints - all in line with company policies and relevant legislation.

The focus is on delivering a world-class building services maintenance service, empowering your team to consistently meet client expectations while fostering professional growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate a team of M&E engineers, ensuring daily tasks are delivered to a high standard.
Manage and oversee subcontractors and contractors, maintaining compliance, quality, and efficiency.
Act as the primary point of contact for the Darlington site, building and sustaining strong client relationships.
Support the Technical Manager with operational oversight, planning, and project delivery.
Address technical and operational challenges on-site with resilience and professionalism.
Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are consistently upheld across all sites.
Provide deputy support for regional FM responsibilities when required.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Ideally, a technical background, either within or outside of Facilities Management.
Demonstrates leadership potential, strong communication skills, and resilience under pressure.
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Some engineering qualifications would be advantageous, but flexibility will be considered.
Strong team-working ethos with the ability to support and develop colleagues.
Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
Committed to delivering high standards and client satisfaction.
