Summary
A well-established and respected engineering business is seeking a skilled Site Mechanical Fitter to join their growing team on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is a hands-on, site-based role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work on large-scale mechanical systems across multiple locations across the North West and North Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out mechanical modifications to existing plant infrastructure, including conveyor systems and production machinery.
Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of mechanical components such as screens, bearings, conveyors, valves, and associated systems.
Safely move and position large mechanical assemblies using chain blocks, lifting equipment, and heavy machinery.
Interpret and work from detailed mechanical engineering drawings and schematics to ensure accurate installation and repair.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications: BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, or a time-served mechanical apprenticeship.
Experience: Proven background in heavy engineering environments, ideally with exposure to industrial plant and machinery.
Technical Skills: Confident working from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Licences: Valid FLT licence (desirable but not essential).
Attributes: Strong work ethic, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
