Pendle Borough Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Housing Needs Manager to lead our dedicated team in delivering innovative, person-centred housing solutions. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of housing support across our borough.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Housing Needs team, ensuring effective delivery of homelessness prevention, housing advice, and temporary accommodation services.
Develop and implement strategic plans to reduce homelessness and improve housing outcomes.
Ensure compliance with statutory duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act and other relevant legislation.
Build strong partnerships with internal departments, housing providers, and voluntary sector organisations.
Monitor performance, manage budgets, and drive service improvements.
Champion a culture of customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement.
We’re looking for someone who has:

Proven experience in housing options, homelessness prevention, or related services.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of housing legislation and policy.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
A strategic mindset with a commitment to delivering positive outcomes for residents.
Pendle is in Lancashire’s scenic Pennines, close to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Manchester.

Flexible contracts require 2–3 days in the office each week (more if needed), so you should live within commuting distance of Nelson, Lancashire
