Summary
The Governors of Aberdare Community School are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Assistant to work as part of our Pastoral Team to provide support to Progress Leaders and members of the Senior Leadership Team.
Ideally, you will
• Be skilled at building excellent relationships with pupils, parents and staff
• Be enthusiastic, imaginative and reflective
• Have experience of working with parents and carers
• Have experience of working with other professionals and external agencies
• Be trained in ELSA, or Trauma Informed Practice, or be prepared to undertake necessary training
• Have good literacy, numeracy and I.C.T skills

The school opened in the summer of 2015 and is part of the 21st Century school building program in RCT. Our facilities include modern science laboratories as well as a Science Lecture Theatre. The school is attached to the Sobell Leisure Centre which offers extensive opportunities for pupils including an all-weather playing facility and newly opened athletics stadium. There are state of the art computer and technology facilities.
