Pay: £90 - £95 per day (PAYE)

Contract: Full-time, term time only, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Type: Long-term with the option to go permanent
Long Term Futures is recruiting on behalf of an independent specialist school just outside Newark, catering for children and young people aged 5-19 with autism and associated needs. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the school is well-known for its therapeutic approach, small class sizes and creative, tailored curriculum.
We're looking for a patient, proactive and caring Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2025.
Your role will involve:
- Supporting individuals or small groups with both academic learning and personal development.
- Helping students manage emotions, build routines and develop positive behaviours.
- Preparing and organising lesson resources in line with teacher plans.
- Tracking and reporting on pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and families.
- Assisting with personal care if required.
- Accompanying students on trips, visits and community activities.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting young people with autism, SEN or SEMH needs.
- Can remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
- Is adaptable, with strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Holds relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
