Summary

Location: Quidenham, Norwich, NR16 2NZ
Actual annual salary: £22,906 - £23,621 (dependent on experience)

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only (Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm, 5pm on Thursday with the extra half hour taken off on another day)
Start date: As soon as possible

Join our partner school in Quidenham, Norwich, as a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children aged 6 to 11 with communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, autism, or anxiety-related barriers to learning. You'll work alongside the class teacher and therapy teams to create a nurturing, enabling environment where every child can thrive both socially and academically.

With small classes (typically 7 children) and at least 3 staff members per class, you'll have the time and support to focus on each learner's individual needs. A full on-site clinical team is available to provide professional guidance and ensure a holistic approach to every child's development.

Key Responsibilities:

Build caring, supportive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe, confident, and ready to learn

Promote independence, personal development, and high standards of behaviour

Support high-quality, differentiated teaching to help pupils reach their full potential

Assist with daily routines, transitions, and positive behaviour management

Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team to meet the needs of each pupil

Support the Class Teacher with the day-to-day running of the class

Adapt to changing needs and contribute to the smooth running of the school

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in an SEN or mainstream setting

Ability to manage challenging behaviour with empathy and consistency

Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability

A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
